#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners—charities, families, businesses, and individuals—to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday giving season and to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and to give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support.

We appreciate your compassion and desire to help our neighbors in need. In spite of the abundance of food, 1 in 6 people in Austin continue to face food insecurity. A contribution of just $7 allows us to provide enough wholesome food to provide one individual with 3 meals a day for an entire month, $28 is enough to feed a family of four. A donation of $45 allows us to provide training and food transport equipment for one volunteer (our volunteers average food rescues of over 700 meals per month). And a donation of $115 allows us to rescue over 500 hot meals.
